Pirelli cinturato p7 or Michelin premier a/s?
I'm looking to buy all 4 new tires and I'm not sure which one to buy. I'm interested in the pirelli cinturato p7 or michelin premier a/s, but I'm not sure which one would be better.
This is what's most important to me:
- I want to have good handling in Indiana weather conditions
- Comfortable Ride
- Reliable, I want to at leave get my money's worth.
Right now I'm leaning more towars the Pirelli because it's cheaper, but I read that it doesn't have the best handling on wet roads; but yet I read that its supposed to perform on wet roads so I'm unsure.
If it helps, I drive a 2014 Honda Civic EX and roughly 12,500 miles a year.
Read all the reviews on www.tirerack.com and then realize that until you personally drive a car on each tire, you're not going to be 100% sure how the tires will perform for you. Everyone has an opinion, everyone has their own driving style and if those tires are on a different car from yours, the experience on wet roads may still differ from what you experience in a Honda Civic.
In general I prefer Michelin as a brand over Pirelli.
You will find people to argue for either as the best. My personal experience: the rubber compounds used by Michelin will last longer but have less traction. The Pirelli tires will not last as long, but will have a better ride and better traction. At 12,500 miles per year you are going to get at least 5 years out of either and your cost per mile or per year are not a big factor. I vote Pirelli.
