Should I buy a Honda Civic or a Hyundai Elantra?
I have a choice between a 2011 Civic with 30,000 miles for $11100, or a 2012 Hyundai Elentra with 32,000 miles for $11,000.
The Elantra has more toys, such as xm radio a usb port and audio controls on the steering whee, and is still under warranty.
The civic is still a Honda which at this point has a proven track record and to me drives a little better than the Elantra.
To me reliability is the most important, I want a car that if maintained well will last with the least amount of costly repairs. Has anyone had any experience with these cars. Which one will give me what I want. Both seem to be a good price.
I would get the Elantra for sure, I have owned 4 Honda's and now have a 2001 Tiburon with 165,000 miles on it (which I got in used in 2003). The engine still runs strong on my Tibby, which is based on the Elantra body.
Hyundai quality has come a long way plus loads of teens have Honda's…
According to me you should buy "Hyundai Elantra"
I personally wouldn't touch a Hyundai /KIA.
Personal preference. The Honda will hold its value better but if you are going to drive it for more than 5 years, it doesn't matter.
Both should be reliable, assuming they have been properly maintained.

- My old Elantra beat a Honda Civic in a race. How is that possible? I could hear his engine roaring and he was way behind me. I didn't add anything to my hood or anything. I thought it was pretty funny because he had the spoiler and everything and I didn't have anything. The civic was a 2010 or so by the way. It looked fairly new.
