You should buy whatever suits your needs
Personally, both models are a bit ugly, unfortunately. However, the Civic is much larger and powerful compared to the Yaris. If I was limiting myself to the two models it would be the Honda hands down.
The Yaris is too small and not safe on highways. If you are only going to be driving on city streets, fine. But not on highways where the wheels on those 18 wheelers are bigger than your little car.
Why not something used & less expensive?
Never mind, you are Way upside down & will be unable to trade for years probably.
Next time don't buy one of the worst cars known to man in a mini-cooper.
I currently drive a 2016 Civic touring. BEST car I've owned & i've bought 3 new cars in the last 5 years. It is NOT ugly like the person above mentioned. It is roomy, when the Yaris iA was still a scion, my friend test drive it & her boyfriend was cramped up in the back seat, aka it's not spacious.
My friend ended buying a 2016 Civic EX, So MUCH more worth it.
They are two different class of vehicles. The Honda Civic is an upgrade and a much better vehicle
- Should I buy a low mileage 2015ish Sequoia or a 2017 Honda Pilot EX-L? I can get a used sequioa with less than 40k miles (without warranty) for the same price as a new Honda EX-L with 100,000 powertrain warranty). I can't decide between the two… I need something that will sit 3 car seats minimum, 4 is even better. We do plan on having more kids. I know the Sequoia's a lot bigger, but I plan to use it as a commuting vehicle for at least a year and it seems like overkill. Also, it doesn't seem the Sequoia is as safe as the Pilot, I think?
