Trading in my 02 Acura RSX to a 95 Honda Civic?

I kinda rush in to buy a new car. Bought the 2002 acura rsx around $5000 plus tax so it's around $8000. I kinda regret buying it because of the high insurance. I still have to pay back the loan. I Want to trade it in for a 1995 honda civic because it's cheaper. So my question is will the dealership let me trade it in?

I would advise against it because a RSX is a hell of a lot better car than a 7 year older civic… You're already upside down on it as it's probably only worth about $4500 so i would pay it down and then sell it.

If I'm the dealer, I would take that trade but won't give you any money. Your RSX has more value than the older Civic, your insurance is most likely based on your driving history/record and age and many other factors.
You insurance on the Civic would be just a little cheaper, but not by much. Its really not worth trading just for the insurance.
Where did you buy that RSX and why is the tax that high?

The loan and insurance on the Honda will not be cheaper than it is for the Acura and you would lose a lot of money on the trade. Dealers buy low(wholesale) and sell high( retail) that is how they make money to pay for the cost of doing business.
