What are some performance mods I can add to my 09' Honda Civic Si without hurting the lifespan of it too much?
I will be commuting 50mi. Each way once college starts this summer so I won't be able to add any sort of turbo/supercharger. I'm planning on getting an intake, throttle body, and headers. Just wondering if I can do anything else besides those listed ^ :)
What is your budget?
Intake is money thrown away, the stock cold air intake is fine. Unless you are running wide open throttle/redline a fancy plastic tube with a cone filter is worthless.
Throttle body can nab you a few hp for $400.
Headers about the same.
Basically, can gain a couple hp for about a grand…
- What are some good cars that either already have mods or are just sporty in general? Nothing above 5k? And yes i have look at all the sporty hondas and i like them, but i want a V6 casue their faster than V4s stock. but yeah like give me some websites or car names to look up on craigslist.
- If I made a few mods to the frame of a 1972 Honda z50, can I classify it as a moped? The 1972 honda z50 came with a vin. So it had to be street legal. In Michigan the engine has to be under 100cc, automatic engine and not go over 30 mph to be a moped. I have seen some mods that people have done to the frame but I just wanted to make sure
- Will my car's lifespan prolong if I used it only once every 2 or 3 days? I have a 2013 Honda Fit and I used it only once every 2 to 3 days for a distance of only 5 to 6 miles…
- What is a good mileage to look for in a Honda Civic, Scion xB, and Toyota Prius to be used for a few years without too many problems? I'm looking at the above mentioned cars to be used for 1-3 years, but I do not know the mileage to look for. I d like to know the milage lifetime for each car mentioned, and approximately at how many miles the car will survive without having consistent problems. If you could give me the answer for each kind of car, or even one of them it would be greatly appreciated.
