What is a fast cheap automatic car to drag race with & modify?
I don't got the car yet, It would be my first car but I want to know what I should I get that would be cheap to modify and run fast to drag, I know that Honda Civics that are year 2000 and lower are cheap to modify but most of them are Stick Shift. It wouldn't be drag racing on the track it would be illegal, & Year 2005 & lower.
Ford Thunderbird SC, Camaro SS, C4 Corvettes, all of which will destroy most any civic. The Camaro SS especially. The engine in that (LS1) Is incredibly durable and responds well to mods.
Civics are not built for drag racing, they are economy cars. You need to be a professional tuner to have a drag worthy Civic.
I would look at a fox body Mustang or a Subaru WRX

- How fast is the 03 Honda Element awd element with the automatic from 0-60? Is it a slow car for a normal 4 cylinder? Can it cruise comfortably at 85 mph on a highway with fast paced traffic?
- Honda Amaze automatic or Hyundai Xcent automatic? Which would be better purely in terms of performance, acceleration, smooth and fast gearshifts and handling, i mean the better drivers car. I know hondas transmission and engines are great, but is the hyundai as good too? Even though the xcent has only 4 gears, i.e. 1 less than the amaze, it has tiptronic, would this by any chance improve the driving experience? I sadly don't have the opportunity to test drive these cars.
