What is this tube on the bottom suppose to be open and not connected to anything like this?

It is the air intake for the engine. If you close it the engine will not run.

Your profile says the Honda has 212K miles it got that far on a stock intake. The car is not used it is used up so tuner parts are worthless. From Memorial Day to Labor Day are the 100 most dangerous days on the road. I would ban anybody under 18 from driving.Robots will take teen jobs so they do not need cars.

- How to replace motorcycle handlebars that have a throttle tube? It's a1974 honda cb125s. The stock bars have a throttle slide (11st one I've seen ). How do I replace the bars with clip ons? Are the throttle slide clip ons? Or do I convert it to what I'm used to using?
- I rear ended a car in my 99 honda passport and now the hood will not open? The latch will move if you push it with a screwdriver but it will do nothing to move the hood. I would like to see if i can fix it before i pay any more to get it fixed… Any advice?
