What would be the best engine to buy for a late model Honda Civic?
I'm looking to start my first build. I want the best engine for the price. I'm not rich. With all the types of engine swaps I can do, it's hard to pick when I'm new to this and so many people have different views online. Any ideas will be great.
GM, Ford and Dodge sell crate V8 engines.
One of the meanest machines I've ever seen was a 2001 s2000 that someone had swapped in a 2006 viper v10 into. It was bad *** and fast as hell
- How is the noise level inside a late model Honda Fit with CVT? I have the FIT on my short list for a retirement vehicle when my 2004 Focus dies on me. Some people say the transmission is noisy and I wonder what other people think about it. I really like the amount of safety tech on the 2018 model but I do not want a car any noisier than my 2.3L Focus.
- Would you buy a Jeep Liberty 2007 model with 29K mi on it? I drove a Jeep Liberty from 2003 til 2011. I love it, but the transmission was screwing up, so I traded it in for a brand new Honda CRV. I loved my Jeep, and my Honda is no comparison. Its small and I feel like its too small. I'm going to look at a low mileage Jeep Liberty tomorrow. What's your thoughts?
- What's the best automatic Honda Civic 1996-98 model (ex. Dx.lx. Etc) as far as gas mileage and reliability? I was interested in the 96-98 hx cvt civic yet there are many complaints of heavy vibrations when stalling. Also I can't drive manual and can't afford to take lessons
- Best model year or generation for Honda Civic GX (the available non-comercial version)? The Honda Civic GX was sold to the public in certain states up to 2011. I'm not sure what year it began, but it covered some 3 generations of Honda Civics. I'm just not sure which one is the best? Seems like the first one had a 4 speed automatic, the second a CVT and the third a 5 speed automatic. I'm not sure which Hondas are better. Do you?
