Would you trade a 2014 car for a 2007 car straight up?

I own a 2014 Honda Civic but it's too cramped and too underpowered for me. I want to trade it for a larger car with more room a 2007 Honda Element instead. Both have around 100,000 miles. After taxes and DMV fees, the Element would cost about the same as what I would get on the Civic.

So do you think this is a fair trade?

I wouldn't but its only a fair trade if you think its a fair trade to you.

No.

No

Yet you bought that Civic anyhow. You should probably not trust any of your future automotive decisions.

Maybe if I was a troll like you.

No way. A 2014 car is four years old and has a lot of life left in it. A 2007 car is mostly used up.

I would junk both cars and get an American car.

Go on a diet and lose that gut and you'll fit your car better. Quit carrying all that junk you don't need in the trunk. You sure drive a lot. Use premium fuel when taking long highway trips to give the car more pep.

You are not trading apples for apples here. You are upping the model. You better hope the element is not what you wanted after all.
BTW Would you go back to Windows 98 if you could?
All you are gaining is 23 HP(and the fact the car looks like an odd duck) not cool like the Civic.(a car which is easy to sell cause everyone wants one). Element is heavier.

An 07 has 11 years of life used up on it. If that is the minimum regular driving that is 160,000km(or 100,000 miles) which is motor probably needs work time… And brakes… And steering. And suspension. And transmission. And CV axles. And battery. And plugs.and, and, and. Basically a complete look over by a mechanic to make sure it is ROAD WORTHY. It could be a PoS on wheels. You want to gamble with that?

A 14 is barely 4 years old so tires are still good.

What ever turns your crank. I'm just pointing out the obvious. That is all I can do.
