Your Honda holds 15.3 gallons of gas. If you refill it every five days (after driving 300 miles), you are getting 19.6 miles per gallon.
You car is rated at MPG: Up to 23 city / 31 highway.
60 miles each way or round trip?
If you're only getting 240-300 miles per tank, you're not getting very far. 480-600 miles is decent.
You have to know how many gallons of gasoline you purchased.
Unknowns:
Driving conditions--weather, stop/go or freeway, speed, heavy foot.
Car condition--tire pressure, tuneup, air filter
Distance--one way or round trip, estimated or actual
Gas consumed--filled tank at start and end times.
Just figure out your gas mileage. It's not rocket science. I'm sure there are YouTube videos on it. There's a YouTube video for everything.
This is why you should have paid attention in math class.
It's a shame you can seem to do grade school math. On average you should get 400 miles per tank - if you drive reasonable speeds and do mostly steady highway miles - so yes you are burning up a lot of gas. Slow down and it will improve a lot. Get a tuneup and keep your tires properly inflated and it should be even better.
I wouldn't know. How much are you buying? ( gallons/ liters). How many miles are you driving total? Fill up, write down the mileage ( save it). Next time you fill up, get the mileage again, subtract the last mileage. Now divide the gallons from the fill up into the miles driven. That is your mpg, for that fill up.
Figure out your mileage. Oh wait, you can't because you are in the 5th grade in school and can't do the math.
That sounds normal. It is an Suv and they don't exacly have the best aerodynamics. Suv is heavier, has big tires. If you want better fuel economy you should have gotten a small sedan or hatchback.
- Will my car's lifespan prolong if I used it only once every 2 or 3 days? I have a 2013 Honda Fit and I used it only once every 2 to 3 days for a distance of only 5 to 6 miles…
- Should I buy a 2014 Honda CRV or a 2014 Toyota RAV 4? I currently drive a 2004 Honda CRV with 209K miles. It still runs great and looks great. I actually think I can get another 100k miles out of it.
- I have a 1997 Honda CRV. I just replaced the thermostat like 5 days ago. Radiators been flushed as well? All the fluids are fresh and at the proper levels. There are no visible leaks of any kind of fluids but the car still overheats usually once its been driven for about 15-20 minutes. I take the radiator cap off and the coolant is not moving through the radiator. Would this be a water pump failure or could it be something else?
- 2014/2015 Toyota RAV4 VS 2014/2015 Honda CRV? Guys I need your opinions and/or facts… I'm trying to buy good SUV, either Toyota RAV4 or CRV. Which do you thing is best and what are the differences between them? Do you consider 2014 or 2015 models? Which will provide less maintainces? Also if you have any other ideas or opinions, please tell me. I'm trying to buy it within 1-2 months.
