Toyota, honda of Buick SUV?

I'm looking at a few SUVs for my next one.
I like the toyota highlander
Honda crv
Buick enclave
Buick encore

Possibly the chevy equinox

Are any of these good vehicles?

I'm looking for reliable ( doesn't break down often or have many problems) with regular maintenance. And is good on gas milage.

Is toyota and Buick good reliable brands?

I would go with the Toyota or Honda. Buick is actually good but I would lean towards the Toyota because it has a much higher resale value and it is slightly better. Maintenance and repair costs on all vehicles are the same

The Buick Enclave is a large SUV. It scores well for reliability. It is very quiet and plush. The Encore it totally at the opposite end of the scale. Not even comparable. The Chevy Equinox and it's corporate twin the GMC Terrain are between the two in size and get 32 mpg highway with a 4 cyl engine that is perfect for most situations, the best mpg in the mid-size SUV class.

I rented a 4 cyl Equinox [they also have a more thirsty V6 version] and found it very quiet and enjoyable to drive. Also rented a Chevy Traverse, corporate twin to the Enclave. It too was plush and enjoyable to drive. Averaged 23-24 mpg with it's V6 [identical to the one in the Buick] The Equinox and Terrain are more comparable in size to the Honda CRV while the Buick Enclave closer to the Highlander.

Personally I would go with the Equinox/Terrain as the size is perfect for my needs and I like the high MPG and buying from an American company even though they are not "all American". But the BMW SUV is made in America so…
