Why does the Honda CR-V keep winning SUV of the Year?

Honda got it right the first time and have cleverly avoided messing with it ever since. Every new version is just an updated one. NOT a completely changed one. Like the Porsche 911. They got it right the first time. And have only updated it year after year. But kept the same basic formula.
The overall quality and reliability of the CR-V is superior to any other small to mid-sized SUV in its class. Yes, it's that simple.

The value of a lot of things is based on mere perception.
Because Honda CR-V is good.
No idea, they are ugly as hell, and the people i know that have them say they break down all the time.

I used to own one. One of the most reliable vehicles I've ever owned. I understand why they win. I'd have one now, if I didn't need more space… Growing family
- I have a 2006 Honda Metropolitan, WHen cold it starts up but i have to keep revving it to keep it going? I have already replaced the battery, air filter, spark plug, did an oil change, got new gas, cleaned out the carb. Once it is warm i have no issues with it. It usually takes about 3 to 4 min of driving it to get it warm but once warm everything is fine with stopping and going.
- Why does my fuse keep blowing in my cigarette lighter when it exceeds the factory specs? I bought a Satechi sound-fly AUX FM modulator, which plugs into my cigarette lighter. It includes a 500mA fuse and a replacement. Both of these blew out. I tried a 2 Amp and a 5 Amp. They blew out as well. I drive a 2003 Honda CR-V, and the lighter is 12V.
- Toyota SUV or Honda SUV? Highlander, rav4 and crv? I have narrowed it down to these 3 SUV Toyota highlander Toyota rav4 Honda crv I need a SUV that is good on gas ( 20 mpg of more preffered) very reliable as in will last forever of at least. A very long time with little problems and won't break down often. I know the highlander is bigger of the 3 and because of its size equals slightly less mpg. What does both toyota and honda have for reputations? Are they reliable and good vehicles? Opinions on these makes and models?
- Why should someone living in section 8 drive a brand new Mercedes Benz SUV? Some people do not qualify for government assistance and drive a 2009 Honda civic and work 2 jobs. The one driving the Benz said she has no insurance and now she wants the city to buy her a new car since her vehicle got damaged by flood. Why should taxpayers pay for her and also for her to buy a new luxury suv?
