Does the engine need to be removed to replace the shift shaft in a 2002 honda rancher 350 4x4?

I don't see how you could replace that without removing the engine, but I'm not a certified mechanic, just an interested amateur who somehow manages to keep his 85 Magna running and on the road.

  • Will it hurt a Honda rancher 350 engine to run without a muffler? I have a rancher 350 and I took the muffler off curious of what it sounded like and it sounded real good kinda like a Harley and I was wonder if it would hurt the valves or piston
  • Vertical shaft engine directly to a gear box? I have a honda vertical shaft 5.5 hp engine and i'm making a go kart out of wood. Could I directly connect the gear box that has the engaging part on it, to the engine? Do I need to put a chain? I'm trying to make this as simple as possible thanks. Ps. I'm only 13 and although I have a good vocabulary please talk in 13 year old words.
  • Small honda 5.5 engine shaft PTO attachment? I recently found a small 5.5 honda engone in my garage, and when i was running it, i noticed that the shaft wasn't spinning fast at all, then i noticed this weird circular thing bolted onto it, and it had its separate oil fill hole… What is this? How do i take it off?! I don't want to take it off and mess it up
  • Honda clone small engine, horizontal shaft, high idle? It is on a baja warrior mini bike. I bought this bike from a guy who tried to make it a bit faster but left me with a problem. When starting the bike you have to jump on it as soon as it fires up because it starts going with out any twist of the throttle. I already cleaned the carb and the jets and tried adjusting the idle at the idle screw on top of the carb. The linkage looks fine and returns to the position it should. Also the clutch is in working order. How do I lower the idle?
