Which motorcycle would best fit me?
So I really really want a motorcycle. Me and a couple guys are planning on buying them in July. I have a problem:/ I'm 23 years and I weight 370lbs at 5 10"… I know I know I should be hitting the tread mill instead of thinking of a bike. I'm actually working on losing weight. So far I've been 2 weeks into it and I've lost 10 pounds. Crazy huh.so anyways I've been looking at a 2012 Harley Davidson forty eight sportster with a 1200 cc engine. This bike is not so big but definitely powerful and bulky. I'm also looking at the new Honda fury. It's slim but a taller and stronger bike (1312 cc) I don't know. I've also looked at the Indian scout sixty. I don't want a huge motorcycle either… Anybody who's into bikes got any Recommendations?

You DO NOT want a Sportster of any flavor. At your size you should be looking at a Road King.
Normally I would say your size matters much less than ability when selecting a first bike. But at 370, it would be hard to find a bike that you wouldn't look like a joke riding AND I would trust with a newbie rider. The bikes that have enough torque to handle such a large rider are also going to be dangerous for a beginner. It's a tough situation.
I don't want to discourage riding as i think it is a great hobby and I have loved it ever since I started. However, I think I agree with you. Get healthy first, then ride. Let your desire to get out in the wind be your motivation to drop the excess, start eating better, and getting more exercise. That will also help you be in better shape to be able to handle and maneuver a bigger bike when you finally do get one.
You'd need to keep an eye on the GVWR of the bike you choose. The absolute maximum weight or a rider (helmet and clothing included) and gear for that year and model is only 435 pounds. You're getting very close. Max GVWR for the front axle is 335 lbs.

The Sportster is a *small* motorcycle. Compare a Yamaha V-Star 650.
What are your mates thinking about getting? I assume cruisers, since you ask about them. The V-Star 650 is all you really need, but is your mates will be getting bigger cruisers you might consider a V-Star 1100 -- practically the same physical size as the 650, a bit faster but not much.
FYI: The Indian Scout Sixty is same weight as the Forty-Eight, 200cc smaller, and even a few bucks cheaper.

With your weight and height I'd suggest a Triumph Rocket 3 Roadster or Honda Goldwing. They would be too big for me but perfect for you.
Check it out on YouTube.
You definitely need to shed weight before getting a bike. This could be the spur you need to shed that weight and thus live longer.
First take some professional training.
Then consider if getting a motorcycle is a realistic desire.
Big sporty with the large police seat, windshield. Harley has a tractor engine, and your weight may need a tractor or locomotive engine- Harley original builders were railroad men and same design practice (mild teasing alert! Here). Harley has adjustable foot rests, floor board kits, handle bar risers- and dealers are used to large bellied customers. Go to HOG rallies and look at some of the riders, you may not be the biggest.
- Which is the best honda motorcycle service centre in kerala? Please suggest the best honda motorcycle service center in kerala. I'm from ernakulam. I'm getting very poor service from my nearest service center.
- What would be the best motorcycle for a beginner? I'm about to get my license and a motorcycle, but I wanted to know, what would be the best bike for me. I wanted something that looks nice, and can do around 60-80 MPH or so. I was thinking of getting a Honda Grom, because I heard it wasn't too fast. Any recommendations?
- What underglow color would look best on my motorcycle? Been considering underglow LED lights on my Honda VTX 1300 but unsure on what color would look best. My bike is a darker midnight blue color. It's something I may only use once or twice but I still like it so if your going to say don't do it then just don't respond. And let s just assume all colors are legal. But if you had a second option that would be awesome as well. (Yes I know it's a matter of opinion).
