Will a 1999 Honda Accord engine fit into a 1997 accord?
I found a 1999 engine for an accord. I just need to know does it fit a 1997. Or any other make or model
Yes, if it is the same size both should be in model years 96-2000 check to be sure.
Probly. Honda dosent have much of imagination. Why? Cuz there stuff works. The one thing you need to look at is if it's vtec, or not… Chances are the block is still the same… The biggest thing you will need to change is the ECM if going from vtec to non, or non to vtec and if its fed, cal, or canada emmisions.
- What's the best engine (to add horse power and torque) that i can swap into my 1999 Honda Prelude? Currently i have an H22A but i heard that the k series or even the f series are better? Is this true or should i just stick with my H22A?
- My 1999 manual honda prelude does not shift into 5th gear or reverse smoothly? My gears are smooth from 1-4 but then takes a lot of effort to go to 5th or reverse. Also when you get out of 5th or reverse it doesn't go straight into neutral like a normal manual car. They still work but it is very annoying that i have to push it into the gears and pull them out. What could the issue be? Transmission? Shift box? I plan on changing to a short throw shifter in the future.
- Will this engine fit into my 97 accord with the same engine mounts as a stock one? http://www.ebay.com/...nda-accord will this h22 fit into my 97 accord without modifying any engine mounts
