Gas or diesel? Which one is the best?
If you have Nissan, Toyota, Subaru, Mazda, Honda, Mitsubishi, Hyundai and Kia in the US you will stuck with gas
Diesel engines can run rough and loud. But they get better mileage than gas, and they have better torque. That's good if you need to tow anything. In addition to running smoother, gas engines offer sportier performance. Gas is also cheaper per gallon (or liter, if that's how it's sold where you live) than diesel.
So which one is best just depends on your needs.
Diesel has a higher energy density and runs in nicer conditions (the oily nature of diesel keeps engines lubricated where gasoline has a drier explosion).
unfortunately, diesel in many places is highly taxed and grossly overpriced.
this, along with the fact that diesel engines and maintenance are more expensive means that for most people means that the costs of diesel are just too much to be worth it.
"Best" for what? There's no one clear winner for all drivers and all circumstances.
