How to get out of a car lease?
I recently leased a honda in August, and I'm not fully happy with my decision although it is a very nice car. I initially wanted a jeep wrangler but they didn't have the one i wanted that s within my price range. I looked all over and no one had it, so i settled for the Honda. So my question is how much would it cost me if i were to get out of my lease and get a wrangler. What can i do? I know i shouldve waited but i was too excited about purchasing my first car.
The thing is, no matter what deal you find, youll be burning money
so
heres another opportunity to not have a later regret
stick with what you have, continue to save money
in a few years time when it does in fact make sense to upgrade - do it then
do not let your emotions and "wants" dictate your financial situation
that leads to a lifetime of pain
Probably need about $7000 in cash to get out of this mistake and into another one. Maybe more.
It's not a purchase, it's a lease, and in the lease paperwork is the information about breaking the lease and penalties if any and the amount are listed.
The only one that can answer is the lease company, but it won't be cheap. But I really have to question why you need to lease a brand new car and put a big financial burden for your first car. But you never really own the car, and so after the lease is over you are left with nothing, not even a used car to sell. I would think that a second hand car would be best for a first car, my first car cost me $1200 and lasted me well through the end of high school and several years after
A lease? Look at the contract. It should say so. I would say it will cost you a lot of money, maybe the full amount of the lease.
KEEP THE HONDA
A lease is a long term rental. Read your contract. Early termination is very expensive.
The Honda is so much nicer than a Wrangler.
Since with a lease excess miles and marks and damage are charged extra you will not want to take your Wrangler off tarmac. Insurance does not cover off road damage.
Drive a wrangler for a day then see if you like it. (Not 10 minutes but a full days driving)
Stick with the Honda.
When you see what it will cost you you'll see out the lease on the Honda.
It will cost a lot. Gas prices are headed up again. You'll regret the Wrangler.
I have a broken windshield and Honda can not get one, this is a lease and Honda said it has to be a Honda windshield even though I can get one from speedy so here I sit making lease payment and Honda thinks It can get a Honda windshield next year. So you say you want to buy a foreign car?
- Will a car dealership work with me if I'm gonna lease a new car, while trading in the car I have, which has an outstanding loan against it? The car I have now has a loan against it which is worth more than the trade in value of the car by about $5000. If me and a family member were BOTH looking to lease a new car (so 2 new cars), does anyone know if a dealership will be working to work with me in any way? Also the cars looking to be leased are not high end or luxury cars, they d be coming from a dealership like Honda, Toyota, or Subaru.
- Lease trying to get rid of vehicle I currently am leasing a vehicle and the lease is up in February 2018. I do not have good credit so when they refinance the car I know my monthly payment will be high. Because of family situations I know have to move out on my own. I can't afford rent and a car note. My car is leased through Honda. When the lease is up (I'm over my mileage already) can I just return the car and buy a car cash?
- Is there a way to get out of a lease? I have 2018 Honda vehicle. My lease will be up in Jan 2020 is there anyway I can get out of my lease early or find a loophole in the contract?
- What is a good monthly lease payment for new 2015 Honda CRV exl AWD- 36 month lease/12k miles? What is a good monthly lease payment for new 2015 Honda CRV exl AWD-- 36 month lease/12k miles? thanks for the reply… My credit score is excellent. I referred to monthly payment since its my first time leasing and I not familiar with terms like money factor and residual. I simply look at the down payment and the monthly payment that I have to make per month.
