I have a 2002 honda odssey and my wheel shaking when i drive? - 1
What speed, what rpm, what gear, at idle?
What speed are you going?
Could be wheel out of balance, loose steering components, or any of hundred of reasons.
Maybe just need an alignment
More likely than not you have a tire out of balance. It can be a bent wheel if you have hit something. Take it in and have the tire rotated and balanced. They will tell you if you have a bent wheel.
First check if the lug bolts are all tight, rims don't look bent, tires not flat, etc.
Then jack up fronts, one at a time, and spin to see if bent rim, bulged tire, etc.
Wiggle in/out to see if bearing loose, side/side tie rods loose, up/down for ball joints, etc.
Try swapping front to back.
Things like balance, worn track arm bushing, etc., are too much for you to check, so take it to front end place.
There may be many causes; Conditions where the problem occurs helps a great deal in diagnosing- or guessing the problem. A bad cv joint will cause shaking which increases in severity as speed increases, being severe between 35 and 75 mph and less at 90+. A bent wheel shakes the car at all speeds. A warped brake rotor will cause front wheel shake when brakes are applied. Out of balance wheels will shake the car and the shaking increases with speed. A tire with tread separation inside it will squirm and be noisy as it rolls. There may be other causes.
Go get it checked
Have the front tires balance checked
What did you do BEFORE IT STARTED? That is where you begin. Tire changed? Then that one tire is not balanced. Tire store is the only place that does that and does that quickly. Otherwise it is advisable to go to a "Wheel alignment shop" and they will check out your steering components… That is all they know. Between the two they will find the problem. But work backwards to find the problem quickly.
- What is a good car that has 4 wheel drive and fits 7 people? I'm thinking of getting a new car to replace a Honda odyssey. I want a 4 wheel drive car, but because of my family size it has to fit 7 people. Any brand is fine and I'm buying new. Also the style is a plus but not required. Good millage would be great as well. Any ideas the more ideas the better also reviews would be helpful, especially if you own one that fits 7 people and has 4 wheel drive. The most I can spend is 35 thousand on the basic configuration.
- Honda Odssey seems more comfortable than Town Country, is this true? I was comparing these two vehicles online, and the Odyssey seems to be a better fit. In comfort, in reliablity, quality… Etc. Or am I wrong? What do you think? I know times have passed where both of these vehicles have improved, but… I need all the help i can get!
- My car is front wheel drive and the rear shocks are leaking will the car last at least two weeks until I can go to a mechanic? - I have a 1997 Honda CRV all wheel drive. And it keeps overheating? I have checked all of the fluids and they are full. There are no leaks from the radiator or hoses, the antifreeze is full and the car keeps overheating. I haven't replaced the thermostat yet but is there something else that I'm NOT checking that could cause it?
