Is the Type R a good daily driver?
My Honda dealer was offering a new 2019 Type R for about $36 000. He says if you drive it economically it can save gas, but there's also a sport/type r mode if you want to have fun. He says it has a 4 cylinder turbo engine.
then my Nissan dealer was saying how I should get a Maxima instead. It is roomy, luxurious with a CVT, V6 producing 300 horsepower. It does use a little more gas than the Type R.
I have a 2017 Nissan Pathfinder. All around good vehicle.
Of course! Any dealer will tell you that you should buy one of their models instead. They all want your business and they'l lie cheat and steal if necessary to get. That's the car business. CVT transmissions are not the most reliable and they're expensive to repair. Nissan's don't have the best reputation quality and dependability wise either.
If you have that kind money to burn on a car then sure go ahead. The type r has a 4 cylinder turbo engine so the gas mileage won't be bad. It would be about the mpg of a suv but being alot faster. Know the type r only comes in a manual transmission so they are fun to drive but they can be annoying in heavy traffic.
Stop getting your car education from car dealers. Do your own research. There are TONS of information online to learn about cars -- Cars.com, KBB.com, Edmunds.com, TrueCar.com, Consumer Reports, YouTube, and much more.
We ALL hope Nissan has FINALLY fixed the CVT problems have they?
For a good everyday drive you need an engine with lots of low down torque. The type R is not that. When most cars are running out of revs the type R is just starting. They go up to 8500rpm… But are gutless at normal speed. They are not that comfortable
Personally I would go with the Honda. But that is just me. Do you want boring or exciting?

- What scooter is best for commuting in London on daily basis? 125cc vs 300cc? I like the Honda PCX 125 and also the Honda Forza 300. I do not know which one to buy. I wonder if 125cc is enough or if I should go for the 300cc. New or 2nd hand? I also have seen the Honda Forza 125 and I wonder if it is worth it. The PCX seems to be very good value for money (maintenance and running costs), however it is small size in comparison with the Forza 300 (obviously at a higher cost). Any suggestions?
