Best motorcycle for a beginner?
I'm looking to get my first motorcycle soon.
Background; I'M 5'10'' 145lbs. Only experience on a motorcycle is a riding a Honda cr80 when I was a teen. Also took a couple trips around the block on my friends R1 and that was way to much power for me.
I'm not looking to drag race from stop light to stop light. I'm in my early 30's so speed isn't my thing, just want to cruise around on 2 wheels. I won't be doing any freeway riding, no long trips, just around town and some back road cruising.
I was looking at buying a newer used Ninja 250 I've seen several for sale in the $1,800-$2,400 range. I've been watching a lot of Ninja 250 videos and it look like the right choice.
So with the given info what do you guys/gals think. I should add that I DON'T want a Harley/Vstar style bike.

- Which motorcycle should I get for a beginner? I'm planning on buying a motorcycle because I'm turning 16 soon and I need a vehicle to commute to and from school. Which bike is reliable for a starter? Honda CBR 125CC, Yamaha R125, Ninja Kawasaki 250R or other bikes? I'm also in a budget and looking for a bike around $2,000 and will not go over $2500. I'm also 5'11 and 155 LBS.
- What would be the best motorcycle for a beginner? I'm about to get my license and a motorcycle, but I wanted to know, what would be the best bike for me. I wanted something that looks nice, and can do around 60-80 MPH or so. I was thinking of getting a Honda Grom, because I heard it wasn't too fast. Any recommendations?
- What is a good beginner motorcycle? I'm 5'7, never drove a manual, so I'm going to take the msf course. I just wanted to ask if you consider a Honda cbr500r as a good beginner bike, because I'm going to be driving in the freeway, thanks in advance
- What are the best beginner endurance bikes? I'm helping my lil cousin finding the perfect bike for him. Maybe something like a 125 cc and the brand Yamaha, Honda or Kawasaki? He weighs 50kg Please advise
