I have a 1983 Honda shadow 500 and I have a couple options for a parts bike?
So I was wondering what bikes would be best, obviously another 1983 Honda shadow 500 would be best but could I use a 750? Or another year?
What frigging parts are you looking for? Donuts and cupcakes sort of taste the same but if the donut is big enough the cupcake can fit in the donut hole.
Generally a mfr will stick with the same bulbs for several different bikes; inner tubes; inner tube Schrader valve stem caps; fuse block, maybe; some of the fuses; maybe some of the switches; touchup paint could be the same; possibly the speedo and tach; maybe the shift and brake levers if they're in the same place on both bikes relative to the footpegs. - I have a 750 honda shadow american classic was out on a ride stopped to get gas got back on bike and nothing? The 750 Honda would not start the head lights are not coming on but the turn signal work and the horn had battery charged. Any ideas please this is a motor bike not a car
- Is the 1985 Honda CR 500 water pump gear shaft compatible with the 86-2001 Honda CR 500 water pump gear shaft? I have a 1985 CR 500 and the water pump gear shaft broke. It has been discontinued from Honda, and no one else has it. It is a metal gear. The one's for the 1986-2001 CR 500 are plastic. If I have to use plastic, I will. However, I prefer not to. If anyone knows where I can get the OEM 1985 Honda CR 500 gear shaft, I would forever be grateful.
