In your opinion, which is harder to ride-a dirt bike or a Honda 3 wheeler?
I'm trying to get my dad to get me a dirt bike, but he keeps saying I'm "not ready". He thinks 3 wheelers are easier to ride than dirt bikes, I've ridden both. I just don't have one of my own. IMO, I think dirt bikes are a lot easier, thoughts?
I have a 3 wheeler but I've wanted a dirt bike forever too.
Added (1). Just for the record, they stopped making 3 wheelers because people are idiots and don't know how to ride them. I'm 14 and the clumsiest person I know and I've never even been remotely close to flipping it over, and I'm not an overly cautious rider either.
Added (2). My dad is also a very careful rider and he's stubborn to get to say yes to anything, so I doubt he's trying to keep me safe. My entire family has ridden dirt bikes, etc. Since day 1.
Never have liked three-wheels, they are great at a STOP for stability but suck at most all other areas.
Been up on two-things since learning how to walk, two moving things is two moving things, the less the better.
So either your dad is a wimp or your dad thinks you are.
Ask yourself that question.
Unless the 3 wheeler has a differential (which most don't) they are bloody dangerous going downhill if you want to turn back u phill.
Honda 3 wheelers are very dangerous. They are interesting to ride.
Your dad is just trying to keep you out of the hospital or keep you from dieing. If he thinks your not ready yet, you probably aren't. Us old men know a few things.
Why do you think they stopped making 3-wheelers?
A 3 wheeler you can drive while drunk, and many do. A 2 wheeler you can't be blindly drunk and it is like riding a bicycle. Trikes are different in how you lean them… Compared to a bike. 3 wheelers tend to take a hill straight on and flip the trike over their head. Motorbike you would hit the hill at an angle and cut across the hill to climb it to make it. Cutting across with a trike is a NO GO.
- What is your opinion of the Honda Ridgeline vs Toyota Tacoma? Currently, I'm contemplating the purchase of a 2012 Ridgeline 22,500 miles and a 2014 Tacoma 14,000 miles Price and features are nearly identical. Thoughts?
- Your opinion about this 4-Cylinder Scrambler from Honda (Pic)? If it weigh under 200 KGs then I for one shall be deeply interested… http://www.motorcycle.com/manufacturer/honda/2015-eicma-honda-cb-six50-concept.html So, what about you?
- Where in eastern PA can I legally ride my dirt bike? (trails/parks)? So I've been riding my 1979 Honda XL for a few months now (first bike) and I'm really interested in riding offroad now. The only place I can ride dirt right now is at a construction site down the street. Where are there any trails or parks that I can legally ride at in eastern PA or within a reasonable distance of West Chester, PA. (or any places that aren't so legal but fun to ride at… Haha)
- What size dirt bike should I ride? I'm about 5'10" and only 120lbs. I have a little riding experience from riding a friends bike. But I want to get my first dirt bike of my own now. I open to any brand but I was thinking yamaha or honda.
