Looking for a bike to ride in rural India (budget Rs.30-60k)?
I'm looking for a bike under 55k on road. I have no experience riding bikes with gear therefore I wanted to start with a smaller bike.
I'm now residing in a rural town where roads are not very good and people tend to drive as they like. So the bike must be durable, reliable and has good control.
I would sell the bike in a year or two and purchase a better bike once i get to learn a bit about riding. I'm almost 30, 6 feet tall and 85 kg.
We have yamaha, hero, honda, bajaj and tvs showroom here.
Which bike do you think is best for me?
Again in short, I'm looking for a bike that promises
Durability: do not want a bike that cause lot of trouble (tubeless tires etc.)
Readability: bike that do not break down often
Efficiency: i'm ready to sacrifice a bit here for comfort and good control
Entry level bike only: under Rs.30-50k I can add an additional 10k but I want my first bike to be basic and comfortable.
I'm least bothered about the looks of the bike. I just need the bike to travel 5-10Km a day.
Short and simple answer: Honda - Dream neo.(54 k for the best model including accessories and onroad)
Long answer:
I own this machine, it is a miracle. 70 kmpl for normal riders who ride at 40 kmph &
60 kmpl for rush riders who travel at 70kmph most of the time.
I ran 5000 km on it, without a single issue and still in showroom condition. Just I change engine oil every 2500 kilometres. Thats it.
, bajaj, the best!
- What's a good car with a $5000 budget? I don't know too much about cars even though my father is a mechanic. 19 year old guy with only 5000 for my first car. I like Honda's, BMW's, even Rx8's but I'm skeptical about picking a car. What are goods and bads about said cars? Any suggestions on specific cars that are reliable, hardly give problems, and look decent? Please and thank you in advance.

I don't know much about the differences, I know some people are all for Suzuki, Yamaha, Honda, of Kawasaki. Seems that whatever bike someone has, they say its the best. I wish I could just ride all of them and see for myself. Tampa, FL Sam
