Motorcycle stalls when put in first gear?
I try turning on my motorcycle and it would idle just fine, I'll rev it and it sounded good but when put into first gear (while still holding on to the clutch) it died instantly. I tried playing with the choke and turning it on that way but eventually it stalled and now it won't even start. It's a Honda Shadow VT1100 and the battery was charged recently so could it be the alternator?

Just to cover all the bases… Is the kickstand down? Many bikes have a safety feature (like my R6) where if you put it in first gear while the stand is down it will die instantly.
Adjust your clutch, oh and clean your plugs, you probably fouled them messing around with the choke.
Either the kickstand switch or a clutch adjust.
- Is the 1985 Honda CR 500 water pump gear shaft compatible with the 86-2001 Honda CR 500 water pump gear shaft? I have a 1985 CR 500 and the water pump gear shaft broke. It has been discontinued from Honda, and no one else has it. It is a metal gear. The one's for the 1986-2001 CR 500 are plastic. If I have to use plastic, I will. However, I prefer not to. If anyone knows where I can get the OEM 1985 Honda CR 500 gear shaft, I would forever be grateful.

It only stalls when I push in clutch & when I'm just sitting at a light in neutral with the clutch not pushed in at all, the low oil pressure light blinks. Go my Idle air control valve replaced. - 3rd gear grinds? Replace gear box? 3rd gear grinds? So I bought this '98 honda civic cx(213,000miles) and sometimes the 3rd gear grinds a bit. What would be the cause of it? Clutch slipping? Also the steering wheel shakes when I broke after a certain speed(warped rotors or possibly wheel alignment is needed?) And lastly when downshifting 5th to 4th gear I have to shift slow or else it grids. What could be the problems in your opinion and how much would each cost
