Should I get a CRF250R or YZ125?

This would be my first dirt bike. I'm 5'7 and around 140. I went to the Honda dealership awhile ago and the 250 felt a little big, but the 150 is to small. Which bike would be the best choice for me?

The YZ 125 sits about as tall as a CRF 250.

If just looking for a trail bike look for a nice used Yamaha TTR 230, the YZ models are more for racing unless you are an experienced rider. Honda has a similar model.

I have the chance to buy a mint 04 cr125 with a full pro circuit for 2200$. Or i can get the yz125 07 or 3000$. Its all modded out though. Front and rear RG3 suspension, motor built up by PR2, brand new tires, bars grips plastics and graphics, fresh rebuild, and a full FMF exhaust. The guy also has all stock parts that he switched out and receipts for all the work done. Both bikes have paperwork and are mint.
  • Does a dual yoshimura exhaust have different sized holes just like on a stock CRF250R? I own a 2006 Honda CRF250R bike which has dual exhaust which comes stock on the bike. For the stock dual, the left exhaust has a slightly bigger hole than the right because of making even airflows. MY QUESTION IS: I want to buy a dual Yoshimura from motosport.com, i'm not sure if they have different sized holes just like stock. And if they don't, does it make a difference?
  • Crf250r dirt bike Honda? I rode dirt bikes for awhile. I own a older 250 2 stroke but it's always breaking. Very fast bike but I want something reliable. I used to own a crf100 and it always ran and never gave me problems. So I wanna go back to crf. How reliable is the crf250r. Looking for 250 4 strokes.
