What dual sport is your favorite and why?

Does anybody know if the Honda CRF 450 is any good?

They all have their place and they all do some things well and other things not so much.

I like the KLR650 because you can ride at 80mph all day long and still enjoy a dirt trail without having to wrestle a completely overweight pig around the obstacles. That being said, the KLR650 is still a pretty heavy bike and is better suited for dirt roads than trails. (Oh, and I own one, so I'm presently a bit biased on the bike)

Know what kind of riding you are going to be doing and then find a bike that can do it. Otherwise, you are constantly trying to get an unsuitable machine to do what it was never designed to do well and you will be frustrated.

Sometimes that means two bikes.

Crf 450 is a dirt bike, can probably only be made street legal in a few states.

My favorite dual sport is probably all of them. Like a set of golf clubs they each have their niche. You need to know to what extent you prefer your bike to be for the dirt and what percent you want it to be good on pavement. When you know that you can narrow things down.
