2004 Honda Pilot! I did an oil change today check the manual for the engine oil capacity, it is 4.8 liters and put 4.4 liters and add .5 ltr?

Total engine oil put is 4.9 liters and I'm surprised the dipstick is above the second hole by 10mm. Is it overfill or do i need to remove some?

1994 Honda Pilot engine oil capacity is 4.3 liters with filter change not 4.8 liters. This is why it is showing overfull. You need to remove the excess oil.

Just because it fits doesn't mean it should be filled. You should always follow your manual.
just like some cars say not to "top off" your gas, to get it to an even number price. If you do, it damages the vehicle's systems.
drain a bit out, carefully.

10mm above full line is overfull.
Run the engine at idle a minute, shut it off and wait a minute, then check the dipstick again. Make sure the car is on level ground. If you still see excess, remove the oil filter and empty it into a clean container and repeat this as necessary. When I change my oil, I never put the entire refill in without checking the dipstick closer and closer to when it might me full. I put in 3 quarts, then run and check, then add and check until the refill is finished.

Did you replace the oil filter too? Did you start and run the engine before checking the oil level? A dry oil filter will take about 1/2 liter to fill up, which should bring your dipstick down to proper level.
