We're planning to buy Honda Amaze Petrol. I heard some cones about pick up of this Car.Need some Honest reviews.IS it a good car. Our Budget is 6.4 LAKHS- Any other cars in this range? We're from kerala, India.

Honda Amaze gives a mileage of 25.8 kpl according to Indian Driving Cycle rating, despite also being the most powerful in its class. Honda's affordable sedan gets the same petrol engine from the Brio and with the automatic gearbox, it proves to be a very good city car too. Honda's quality and reliability add to the value. The petrol version of the car is equipped with a 4-cylinder SOHC i-VTEC engine, which is capable of churning out 1198 cc displacement. The top speed of 165 kmph can be obtained by this car very easily. Honda Amaze on Road Price Chennai is Rs 5.10- 7.78 lakh.
So overall this car is a wise option to buy.

Honda Amaze Petrol is not as good as it looks. The auto expert also didn't like it much.

At this budget today, you should go for Ford Ecosport, its amazing, more value for money than any other car. Ecosport 1.5 version consumes a bit more fuel than Amaze, but gives very good output. Also its much spacious, especially at rear. Its has more ground clearance, just like any SUV.

There's an interesting version of Ecosport which is with TSI engine from VW, Ford says it Ecoboost. It consumes only 1.0 L (999 cc) per engine's revolution, and gives 123 bhp and 170 Nm torque. This version will give you more mileage and power than Amaze. "Power and mileage don't come together" is a history now. But it will cost you 1-1.5 lakh more, but its worth.

I suggest you to test ride both the cars and choose which proves to be comfortable for you.

Amaze petrol churns with 1.2 ltr engine so you can't compare with its diesel sibling which has a 1.5 ltr 100 bhp engine. The Petrol should deliver the right pickup based on its engine capacity. If your concern about higher engine go for Honda city which has 1.5 ltr engine or the car in its league.

I purchased this car (S MT PETROL) 2 months back and drove 2000 kms. I wish to give a honest review with my total driving experience of more than 1,00,000 kms in 14 years.
Exterior looks: excellent
Interiors: Little compromised
A/C: excellent
Seats: medium comfort; not full comfort
Driving comfort: Excellent; well placed driving amneties
Engine performance (petrol): Comfortable, but definitely not sprorty-specifically response is slow in gear shift from third to second gear - reason may be due to 1.2 engine capacity
Audio: Good effect, but lacking cd player
Brakes: Comfortable but not very sharp (lacking ABS in lower models of petrol version)
MY VERDICT: A PERFECT SEDAN IN THE PRICE RANGE WITH HONDA'S RELIABILITY AND COMFORT FOR SMALL FAMILY.
