Thoughts on this honda prelude?

I'm thinking of getting a honda prelude for my first car. What are your thoughts on preludes? Are they worth the money? If not, what other car would you recommend.

Generally Honda's are good first cars. They are reliable cars, with good reputation of engines lasting around 300k miles.

The Preludes have similarity with Accords, you can even swap engines from both. The preludes though are on the sport car category, with a slight edge on performance. Preludes are generally more expensive than the comparable Accords.

The Preludes also are discontinued. The parts may become hard to find when it need repairs. Also Preludes are much rare than Accords, so these makes them hard to find, and those Import tuners will pay top dollar to get them.

It is priced a little too high for a 14 year old car. It is probably priced that way to make room for negotiations. Check other used car websites or Kelly blue book for average pricing of that car.

I would suggest an Accord instead, Accords are generally cheaper, have a lot of parts and aftermarket parts support. But if you have the money, and the know how when it comes to cars, the Prelude is a nice car to have.

I was looking at one for my first to they seem like a good car over all and. That one looks in great condtion too high price for a first that youll prolly wreck or.trash in the end tho. I don't know if all preludes have the four wheel steering or smeone put it.in the one i was looking at custom but it looked like.it.could be lots of fun so if that has it too id buy it just to rip around lol but hondas tend to be good running and engines are fairly durable seen one honda engine out live two frames so i mean if you got the money id shoot an offer at him for it
