What is the difference between Honda and Hyundai

Why are they similar?

They both begin with the letter H
Honda though only has 5 letters as opposed to Hyundai's 7!

?

They're both Asian companies that design cars.

Honda is Japanese and has been around for ages.
Hyundai is Korean and has not been around for so long.
Honda has a reputation for high quality engineering and reliability but at a price.
Hyundai is establishing a reputation for reliability at a reasonable price.
Some Hyundai designs look a bit like Honda designs, but most don't.
The Hyndai logo is confusingly similar to Honda's.

Honda is made in Japan and Hyundai is made in South Korea.
The only thing similar is they both start with an "H"

One's Japanese One is Korean.

Honda is a Japanese automotive manufacturer who gained a reputation in the 70s, 80s, and 90s for making high quality, reliable, and economical cars but has recently suffered severe quality issues (like transmissions, rust, etc) and charges outrageous prices for options (you have to buy a top model Touring Edition to get all the options, you can't add them a la carte).

Hyundai is a Korean company who original built very low quality cheap cars in the 1980s, low quality cheap cars in the 90s, okay quality cars in the 00s backed by huge warranties and incentives in the 00s, and now probably one of the best quality vehicles out there for the money.

Honda is a Japanese company and was doing it a little longer than Hyundai. On the other hand Hyundai/Kia are South Korean and is a younger company. Hyundai is not as established as Honda, but getting there. They have had made great strides in recent years.
