Will this hurt the car?
I'm 16 my parents won't let me have a manual tranny even tho i'm a huge car enthusiast! And i usually drive around their 2016 honda hrv which has a cvt with L gear S gear (sport mode) and D i usually start in L then shift to S then to D because its the closest i can get to a manual i'm wondering if its bad
Yes lol no ****
Sounds like your parents are against tranny's. It's 2017… GET OVER IT!
What you're doing isn't manual shifting, you're limiting the ranges to which the transmission will change. In L it will keep to the lower gears, in S it will delay shifting up to give you "sportier" performance. Neither of these is of much relevance in day to day driving, might as well leave it in D as intended.
Just plain pointless to do that and it is still totally different to a manual
- Will it hurt a Honda rancher 350 engine to run without a muffler? I have a rancher 350 and I took the muffler off curious of what it sounded like and it sounded real good kinda like a Harley and I was wonder if it would hurt the valves or piston
- Will a car dealership work with me if I'm gonna lease a new car, while trading in the car I have, which has an outstanding loan against it? The car I have now has a loan against it which is worth more than the trade in value of the car by about $5000. If me and a family member were BOTH looking to lease a new car (so 2 new cars), does anyone know if a dealership will be working to work with me in any way? Also the cars looking to be leased are not high end or luxury cars, they d be coming from a dealership like Honda, Toyota, or Subaru.
- Can stock car parts of a newer car go into an older car? Have a 2011 suzuki sx4 not driveable. Driving around a 99 honda crv. is it possible to put the deck of the suzuki (already removed) and place into the crv? The speakers are the same size i'm thinking about those as well but is that much of an upgrade?; I can't find the power of the stock speakers to both cars. Thank you, I had a system in suzuki i removed wanting to put in my crv.
- Which car should be my first car? Both are used cars A 2000 Kia Sephia LS, 68,000 miles for $2,795 or a 2003 honda civic hybrid, 86,000 miles for $4,999 What do you think the cheapest would be for insurance & maintenance? Which is the safest?
