2004 Honda Accord or 2004 Pontiac GTO?
I'm in the market for a new car. I currently drive a 1999 mazda Miata and my local dealer has a pretty nice v6 2004 Honda Accord with 180,000 miles on it. He is asking $7,000 which is to high for the car but I'm going to try and talk him down to $5,500. I'm using my car as a down payment. And pay $250 a month for the next year. My friends parents own a 2004 pontiac GTO and it has a lot of work done to it. It only has 58,000 miles on it and they will give it to me for $8,000. I don't think they will let me finance it so I would save as much as I can and sell my current car to get it. What should I go with? I don't have a pic of the Honda.
"2004 Honda Accord or 2004 Pontiac GTO? "
-- Day and night difference between both. Honda Accord is an average budget car while the GTO is slightly on an expensive side to manage. Honda is not a handler as the GTO, nor is it as fun to drive as the GTO. The GTO's repair, fuel, insurance bills will be higher than Honda. And the GTO has a more potent engine than the Honda.
Either get the GTO and keep up with high cost or find another Honda. 180K miles for $7,000 is on a high side. They should be close to $4,000.
The GTO will be a future classic.
Defiantly the GTO after 200k miles cars typically die so with the GTO you have time to enjoy it. Also the Honda is severely over priced.
