92 honda accord won't turn over - 1

92 honda accord won't turn over. New alternator and 1year battery all testing well. Starter is good. Just put in new fuel pump and efi main relay. Will turn over w/starter fluid. Belts are both correct. Checked wires, plugs, fuses, and coil pack. Only two things I can think of are distributer or CPU. Maybe a damaged fuel line or the wire leading to the fuel pump for power. I'm baffled that it won't turn over. Any thoughts?

If it is cranking but not starting you could have a dead fuel pump or like you said it could be the CPU. It also could not be getting spark. How long since you put new spark plugs in it?

If it is cranking but won't start it could have a problem that is causing the engine to flood and not start also. Can you smell petrol when trying to start it?

Battery dead then?

This video will help you. Check the main relay and fuel pressure with a tester.

Since it fires with starter fluid the ignition and ECU are working your problem is in the fuel delivery. At this point you will have to track down the fuel. Check for pressure on the rail (there's a schrader valve on the rail you can depress when the ignition is off to see if you have pressure holding there) and if that is present, look into the injector connections and power. I've only been into that part once, a decade ago, and don't recall any gotchas… But do verify the combined injector ground does go to ground.

Yarp that's normal

O… K?

Probable reasons for the car not to start: 1/low compression. 2/ intake air leakage. 3/engine locked up. 4/ starting system. 5/ immobiliser system.
6/inertia switch.
The inertia switch is located behind the glove box. To reset press the button on the top. This is from Honda UK. Please provide engine type ie F18B2, F18B4

Hi Hardly surprising as you don't know anything about it.so remove spark plugs put oil into each cylinder just a drop then get the starter to turn it over. Before re-inserting the spark plugs.

  • Why my 1999 honda cbr won't turn over? I have a decent but fully charged battery In it and all the terminals tight and I have battery charger hooked up to it but every time I push the start button It acts lik its not getting enough fire… The lights go dim and the relay clicks like its not enough juice…
  • 1999 Honda Civic EX died in the road and will not turn over. Thoughts? I was driving to work and the car just stalled out. All I had was forward momentum. It cranks but will not turn over. I was told to pull a spark plug and hold it close to the engine and see if it sparks, and it didn't. From what I've read, The Ignition Control Module should be replaced. But as always I have doubts can anyone offer suggestions or confirm this?
  • I have a Honda Accord 92. With new battery and starter. Still won't turn on? So when my car stopped turning on I hit the starter a couple of times like my dad told me and it started. After a while this stopped working. I changed the starter myself. And it still wouldn't start. Only made a buzzing sound. My dad told everyone it was the battery so he bought a new one and we put it in. It did the same thing. I'm 17 years old. My dad said I needed to fix it. Trying to teach me to be responsible with my things.
