95 honda accord shifts from 1st to neutral and stays there. VSS or worse?
I have a 95 accord that stopped shifting correctly on the way home. I can get it into reverse, but it is very hesitant to go into first. When it goes to shift to second while accelerating, it drops to neutral and stays there until the car comes to a stop. Once the car warms up it seems worse and doesn't want to go into 1st at all. Tranny fluid is full and relatively clean. "D4" light is not flashing. Check engine turned in a few times in the last week but turned back off preventing me from scanning. Someone suggested it may be the speed sensor but I'm skeptical. Any experts or folks with experience possibly able to shed some light on this?
Speed sensor has nothing to do with it. Find local shop at ATRA.COM sounds like its time for rebuilt transmission
- Is there any car worse than a Honda Civic? Honda Civic's just scream poor people. Also they are very unsafe. They are very unattractive and you never see any Mercedes Benz or BMW's or anything like that on the side of the road broken down do you? Only Honda Civic's and all those cars.
- Honda Civic vehicle speed sensor (VSS)? The speedometer on my car has stopped working after having the clutch replaced. The problem seems to be that the vehicle speed sensor was connected incorrectly and has now been damaged/burnt out. I need a replacement sensor but I'm struggling to find the correct part online or a part number. I'm in the North East UK. Could anyone with a bit of knowledge help find the part for me? The car is a Mk.8 2009 Honda Civic 2.2 i-ctdi SE, 6-speed manual transmission.
- After replacing timing belt, water pump, head gasket on 1992 Honda civic with a d15b7 it shifts harder? Changed the head gasket the other day. Had the head re-done and all. Runs great but shifts up and down harder. Any ideas how to fix this?
- I have a 95 honda accord ex that had a vss issue that has been resolved. I also had a tps issue (according to the check engine light code 7)? The vehicle speed sensor and throttle position sensor have been replace but my car makes a weird noise when its in park or at a stop light. It seems like it sputters then goes back to normal idle and it repeats the same process. Any advice would be appreciated!
