Honda Civic vehicle speed sensor (VSS)?

The speedometer on my car has stopped working after having the clutch replaced.
The problem seems to be that the vehicle speed sensor was connected incorrectly and has now been damaged/burnt out.
I need a replacement sensor but I'm struggling to find the correct part online or a part number. I'm in the North East UK.

Could anyone with a bit of knowledge help find the part for me?
The car is a Mk.8 2009 Honda Civic 2.2 i-ctdi SE, 6-speed manual transmission.

Hi, I just looked and the search didn't show anyone selling the part you need: VSS. The aftermarket doesn't make EVERY sensor for Every car, you may have to get it from the Dealer. Look at the Connector to see if that's what is damaged, they're called Pigtails and you can buy the connector with 6 or so inches of wiring to splice in. But the person that broke it should fix it.

Have you even checked to see if the mechanic missed putting the wiring connector back on the sending unit?

Hi you know where this is going a HONDA dealer.
