Car was stolen, what more can I do?

I work at a Fred Meyer in Washington. After about an hour of working I noticed my car wasn't where I parked it (I'm a parcel/cart pusher so I'm outside). Luckily, right when I noticed, a cop passed by (best timing ever) and I wrote down my statement and my mom came down to sign the papers (car is under her name). It was a 1994 Honda Accord (I already know it's the #1 stolen car model). I locked the doors and everything. I've posted on twitter and Facebook that it was stolen and described it, and had a nice friend post it on two crime watch pages on Facebook. Anything more I can do? My mom only had liability insurance on it so I'm SOL if it's not recovered in running condition…

Actually you better hope that thing goes to Mexico because when you get that thing back. You know the saying, drive it like you stole it. Well someone is driving it stolen. That thing probably a broken ignition, the air bag taken out ( they sell those things for $200 -$300 ), The suspension is probably shot, because they went off roading, and possibly a few broken windows, the person probably got alcohol, pee, and cigarette buds all over the interior. Take it as a loss and take the insurance claim. I knew someone who had a Honda stolen got it back the thief never paid for any thing

Reporting it to the police is about the best you're going to do (other than having such things covered on insurance).

Not much you can do unfortunately it's too bad that people find it necessary to steal from others rather than work hard. It's really upsetting I understand even though it was a 94 accord to you it was your car very personal vehicles are. Sorry I hope you find another Car soon

Nothing more you can do

You will not get it back, it is scrapped by now and sold for parts

If it was almost emty on gas two things can happen.

1. They ditched it, if so maybe you had about a gallon or less in fuel your talking about 25 mile radius withing the city and 31 highway on a gallon of gas.

2. Gas stations… I will look at all gas stations within a radius of 40 miles or less from where it was stolen. Call the gas stations for camera footage.

  • What if my salvaged title car is stolen? I bought my car back after an accident, so it has a salvaged title. It is a Honda. It runs and drives great and has for a few years since the accident. Someone tried to break in to it the other night which brings my question. What if someone did steal it? I don't have full coverage because I can't, but I love my car! How can I protect my assest?
  • STOLEN CAR! WHAT DO I DO? So my 2002 Honda Odyssey was recently stolen and I immediately called the police, the car costed $5,000 dollars. Also, it had my phone in it too and all my painting equipment… What are the chances that my car gets found? What can I do for it to be found? How can I find my car? We're very poor and that $5,000 dollars is a fortune to us.
  • What if I do not pay back my title loan back on my motorcycle because ir was stolen? I got a title loan in the amount of 400.00 for my 2014 Honda Grom motorcycle. I have made three minimum payments of 125.00 but I still owe around 400.00 because of the high intereat. My motorcycle was stolen from my house, it is time for another payment ans the lender is blowing my phone up. They are threatening repossession but if thats all they can do then i'm not gonna pay it becUse i don't even have it right?
