Why the cruise control in my honda doesn't work?

It's a 92 accord LX. A long time ago it used to work, I did install an ignition switch myself inside the steering wheel. But i don't know if it's disconnected from something. The fuse works. The button to activate cruise control works but the buttons on the steering wheel to set up the cruise control doesn't respond. I forgot how this whole set up is. Is it under the steering wheel?

Does the horn and other stuff on the steering wheel work? If the horn doesn't work then more then likely it is the clock spring behind the steering wheel.

You'll have to see if the light on the dash lit up or not. The switch light on the steering wheel: Does it lit up as well?

The Cruise light on the speedo cluster only lights up when the cruise is on. And to use the cruise you must be going at least 35mph and press the Cruise button in on the dash, then press the accel button on the steering wheel until the dash light comes on to indicate the cruise has been engaged.

Is the car has an M/T or A/T? Clutch safety switch or brake light switch defect could affect the cruise function, the same thing with the air bag system malfunction.

Is the air bag light on the dash? (SRS) Together with the malfunction of the cruise indicated the most common failure: The clock spring. If the horn is not working: A good indication that the clock spring has failed and need to be replaced.
