Honda Accord Sport 2014 only getting 22 mpg? Problem?
I recently purchased a brand new honda accord sport 2014 in on june 9th 2014… Its hasn't even been a year yet! On my dash/speedmeter it sats my average is only 22mpg? Wtf is wrong with my car? Its a honda… Its suppose to get 36! I barely drive fast? Is this a common problem? Mechanical issue with the car or? Someone help!
and btw, i have simple mods on my cars than even suppose to make the mpg a bit better… I have a takeda short ram intake and a takeda axle back!
Short ram will not improve fuel mileage. It is obvious by adding these mods you have done something that is killing your fuel mileage. My advice would be to remove the mods and if you still are getting poor mileage then take it back to your Honda dealer. Do not take it back with these mods installed. I have a 2013 Accord EX 4 cylinder and I average around 32 mpg in all around driving and get around 36 on the highway.

Both KY-Clay and Ron A gave you the corrected answers: Take off all MOD from the car to return it back to the original form then recheck the car fuel consumption before going back to the dealer for checking up.
Did you check the fuel consumption before the MOD?
If you bring the car back for warranty, kiss the factory warranty good bye. As soon as the technician reports the engine has some modifications. Guess what will happened? Then the record on your car will show the MOD.
Thumbs up to both answers.
- Do I need to only start the 2008 CBR600RR or do I need to operate and ride the 2008 Honda CBR600RR super sport to destinations? I was wondering about during times when the 2008 Honda CBR600RR super sport motorcycle is in storage, especially during cold winter temperatures.
- Will 2013-2015 Honda Accord Sport 18 wheels fit on my 2014 Accord LX? So I would like to get some OEM Honda Accord sport wheels on my LX but will I be able to just simply switch them? As far as I'm concerned they should but should I worry that the sport Tire is 1.5" larger in diameter and the rim is 2" larger?
- Will it be okay if I change the wheels on my 2014 Honda Accord LX with some wheels from a similar year Honda Accord Sport? So I would like to get some OEM Honda Accord sport wheels on my LX but will I be able to just simply switch them? As far as I'm concerned they should but should I worry that the sport Tire is 1.5" larger in width and the rim is 2" larger?
- 2014 Honda Accord Hybrid VS 2014 Kia Optima Hybrid - Lease or Buy? I'm thinking about purchasing a hybrid car but want to know which was is more reliable and worth the price. The Accord Hybrid is $29,500 to $35,500 and the Kia Optima Hybrid is $26,500 to $31,400. I will be putting over 5,000 miles a month and was considering maybe leasing than buying at the end of the lease to just save some money on payments for a couple years. Does that sound better to do or just straight buy the car?
