How long can I use a car battery without charging?
I have just bought a multimedia screen for my 2000 Honda Accord. How long will I be able to watch movies on this without the engine running? I was thinking about installing a Voltmeter in my car. Will this be beneficial?
Just watching movie?
12 hours or more probably. Eventually it's going to run the battery down, but a standard car entertainment system only draws a few amps, from a battery that's probably good for 50 amp / hours?
Voltmeter is worthless. What you need is an ammeter to detect current draw. Read the label on the screen. Find the amps or milliamps. That's how much current it draws. Then find out the reserve capacity of your battery. Divide reserve capacity by current draw and that'll give you the amount of time. I'm guessing no more than a few hours.

- After replacing our car battery, our remote starter just turns and turns without actually starting the car? My wife has a 2010 Honda Fit and we just had to replace the battery. We got a remote starter installed from Best Buy in either 2010 or 2011. But after the recent battery replacement, the remote starter responds by just cranking and not starting. It does like three sets of cranking before stopping. I don't remember the brand of remote starter, but anyone have any insight of what I need to do?
- If in the owners manual it says I should use 5W-20 motor oil, can I use 10W-40 motor oil instead? I have a 2009 Honda Fit. I just recently bought 10W-40 and when I got home to put oil in the manual said 5W-20. What's the difference? And is it okay if I still use the 10W-40?
