Is it possible that my lug nuts for my 2000 honda accord tight?
I recently bought some new steel rims for my car and I tightened them myself when i drive them they seem fine but when the roads are a little bit uneven I can hear something friction like I think… Do you think they are too tight? Bcuz i didn't use a torque wrench
Dude. Unevenly tightened lug nuts do not result in friction. If they are too loose, eventually you will sheer a lug bolt or loose the wheel. If they are too tight and unevenly too tight, you will warp your brake rotors. That's it.
Go get a torque wrench and tighten them down properly.
Not from tight lug nuts. It could be a worn suspension part or something else that is causing your car to bottom out and rub.

- Do I need to check for loose nuts in my old car? I have a 2001 honda crv. When I check the source of a clunk noise in it I found a loose nut in the control bar. I tightened it and no noise now. Do I need to check all the other nuts with somebody? Is there any such kind of service for old cars?
