Should I buy a 2001 Honda accord v6, even though these models have a high chance of transmission failure?

The car I'm looking at is in excellent condition, has had only one owner, all records are available, and the person lives down the street from me in a great neighborhood. The car has 150k miles on it and looks and drives like new! Should I buy this car even though these models in this year seem to have transmission issues? The car is 3800. In my area, it seems like everyone wants to sell their car for 1000+ the kbb price.

The fact that the service records are there's a big "yes" when to comes to the purchase of a vehicle… A little over 10000 miles per year is good… Has the trans been serviced properly? Sounds like a good purchase, but still have a mechanic do complete inspections of all systems before purchase

People always ask for MORE than the car is worth, then you as a buyer negotiate the sellers price down. Only "you" can decide if the car is worth it, it is high miles but it is one owner, tough choice.
