Sporty fwd or awd car for under 18k?
I'm looking for a newer car. Preforably 2008 and newer but older is fine. I have about 18k for the car. I live in northern Illinois so it needs to be fwd or awd for the winter. It needs to be sporty looking and fast. Mitsubishi lancer evo and Subaru impreza wrx sti are too expensive from what I could find. (Mid 20k) the car that I'm thinking about is a 2008 Honda accord could exl. It's a 3.5l v6 0-60 in 5.7 seconds. I'm just looking for possible ideas.
'09+ nissan maximas are nice and in your price range, '09+ Subaru WRXs, Misubishi Lancer Ralliart, Subaru Legacy GT, Acura TL, Audi S4, BMW 335xi, Mazdaspeed3, Hyundai Veloster Turbo, VW R32
Audi S4. Those are really fast, but with your budget you're only getting an older model. They're also quite expensive to maintain.
03-05 SRT-4 faster than all of those of a roll for way cheaper but hard to find unmolested. "Don't Knock It Till You Try It." Really fun car, especially in the winter with loud turbo noises. 04-05 came w/ LSD. That's one idea.
Honda Civic
BMW 3 Series
Mazda 3
Mazda 6
Audi A4

- What damage is possible from a construction cone riding under the front portion under the car? I was traveling doing about 55 mph and could not swerve to avoid hitting a construction cone. It hit under my car and dragged until I could pull over and pry it loose. I could not see too well under the car. I have a Honda Fit

- I'd like to buy a used Toyota RAV4, Honda CR-V or Hyundai Tucson, Am I better off wit 4wd/Awd or 2wd/Fwd? I live in the suburbs of Chicago and want a small SUV because it sits up high. But the question is am I better off getting an AWD/4WD or a FWD/2WD model? I'm tempted on getting a FWD model to save on gas, insurance and slap on some snow tires in the winter. But I've heard that AWD models hold their value better though.
