Will cutting 2 inch dropped aftermarket springs damage the spring? Good or Bad idea?

I have a 2010 honda accord coupe, i want to lower my car. I saw these springs that will bring my car down 2 inches, but i want to get that extra inch to get it at 3 inches. Is it a good or bad idea? I know cutting factory springs are horrible for the car, but cutting aftermarket lowered springs be bad? I plan on doing this because i can't find 3" inch lowering springs Will cutting 2 inch dropped aftermarket springs damage the spring Good or Bad idea - 1

Bad idea if your car ever bottoms out and you break the oil pan or worse

Its as bad as cutting factory springs.

You'll find that those cheap 2" drop springs actually go further and too far anyway, probably right down to the bump stops. At which point you generally need to see the dentist more often because the car will knock your teeth out when you drive over a cigarette but.

  • Would it be, a bad idea for me to try and fix a blown head gasket? Its for a honda. Stock d16 aftermarket rims and is 1500 with a blown head gasket. My dad is the best honda mechanic in my town. He would be guiding me through it. Also the car had 137k miles and good paint. How much would it be worth if it was fixed?

  • Is it a bad idea for me to refinance my original Honda auto loan? My credit has improved over the last 6 months and I would like to refinance in another 6 months or so once I feel more comfortable with my score. BUT is this a bad idea? Will Honda scold me for this when I go to the Service dept for maintenance? Or will other future lenders see me as some sort of unreliable consumer moving forward? I worry about this. Any advice would be great and much appreciated!
