All the engine oil completely leaking from my B16A2 engine after a rebuilt

I recently rebuilt a B16a2 engine on my Honda civic si 99. I got the head rebuilt and cut but not the block. I only replaced the pistons, crank, rings and etc. The block itself stood the same with no recut or nothing. Once I had everything together the engine started prefect and was back alive but all the new oil leaked to the ground and was force to turn it off. My question is why did all the oil leaked? I know it was not the pistons, crank, or other internals. And could had been because of the cheap thin head gasket from ebay that came from china or because did not change the head bolts? Or possibly both? Help.

Added (1). I just don't want to take off the whole engine again and take apart the whole engine or send the block to be re cut at a shop. I wasted alot of time and labor.

Added (2). What are the chances of the engine becoming successful if i change the gasket to a more heavy duty one and new head bolts? Its lots to do and $$$ for the labor…

Added (3). I just don't want to take off the entire engine and re bore it

Added (4). trying to figure out how to do this with out taking down and taking the engine apart again for the process

A rebuild needs a proper seal and gasket set. There are lots to replace if you are going to do this properly. Modern head bolts are only used once and need special tools to fit. A second use risks then breaking.
Did you use a torque wrench and an angle gauge? You need both to do a rebuild.
You seem to be trying to fail.
Now take it to a decent engine rebuilder and see if there's anything to salvage from the remains. Why not diagnose the problem?

Follow the oil to the source of the leak. Buying mtor parts on line is never a great idea. Did you blow out and clean the head bolt holes in the block? If antifreeze or oil is still in those holes the head bolts won't torque properly. The end of the bolts hits the fluid and then the torque wrench shows the proper torque even though the head of the bolts are not touching the cylinder head. Experienced mechanics can feel the bolts flex if they missed getting all of the liquid out of the holes. Just make sure where the oil is getting out. I've seen many DIYers leave the old oil filter gasket on the flange when it didn't come off with the old filter. No something else. Do you really mean you did all this but not a rebore? That's not a good idea. What are the chances of the engine becoming successful if i change the gasket to a more heavy duty one and new head bolts? Its lots to do and $$$ for the labor…

  • Why is my brand new Troy Bilt TB130 with a Honda engine leaking oil? I assembled the mower, added the oil as specified, checked the level, started it up, and mowed the yard. It worked well, however as I was nearing completion I noticed oil on the mower deck, on top of the filter (it was dry), the linkage, and everywhere. Why did it do this, can it be fixed, or should I return it. How do I keep it from happening a second time?
  • My dirt bike is leaking oil? My dirt bike appears to be leaking oil out of the bottom part of the frame it appears cause every once in awhile i see a drop oil about to drip off the frame. Its a 2003 honda cr85
  • Mechanic said he rebuilt the engine, smoke coming out of engine, could it be the grease burning off? The mechanic said he rebuilt the engine to my 1974 Honda CB550 I bought from him. Said he rebuilt the engine and is in perfect running condition. He has many bikes lying around and seems as if he is a hobbyist for bikes. He told me that he basically greased up a lot of parts of the motor and it is burning the grease off. The next oil change I do should remove the excess grease.
  • Honda 1986 cr125 leaking oil? I traded an old car for this dirt bike and I've been riding it for a few months now and it's been leaking oil from a hole that is underneath the gas thing. I need to find out if that hole is supposed to be there or not and how to fix this. Thank you.
