Could I change gears when driving?

I have a 2005 Honda Civic hybrid and it's a automatic but I saw on YouTube people changing gears on automatic and stuff and I was just asking since mine has S and L could I start from L which is first gear and drive then change to S and then D for drive? So it can sound like a manual car? Would the car allow me to change into those cars while the car is running or will it miss up the transmission?

Lol. You can if you want to feel like your driving a manual tranny car. It won't hurt the engine or tranny any. Just don't try to down shift to one of the lower gear while your doing 65 or 75 MPH or you might blow your engine.

  • 1982 cm250 slipping gears, and not getting the right speed out of each gear? I have a 1982 honda cm250 bike. I recently had the motor rebuilt with new shift forks, etc. I got the bike back and it's doing this issue ( the same issue as when I took it into the shop). I was told that these are common issues with that year motor. I'm having a hard time believing this, as people say it is a great beginner bike.
  • What else could could be wrong? My stereo in my 2002 Honda civic la sedan wasn't working right so I had a friend check it out. Be got it so my stereo would work but now the a.c stopped working. When you try to use it the fans turn on for a second then automatically switch off. The mechanic shop said I need to change the control panel but I don't want to get a replacement then this isn't the issue. Is this all I can do to really know. What else could it be?
