Necessary accessories on a new 2016 Honda?

I'm buying a new car after 20 years. I'm purchasing a new 2016 Honda civic EX.
There are many features that can be added on to the exterior of the car, but I do not want anything for looks mainly to protect the car, such as adding bumpers to prevent scratches, body side molding, or protection from tire theft. There are also fog lights that can be added. What would you suggest?

Don't bother getting any of those added exterior stuff. Fog lights can be good if you experience fog in your area.

i recently just bought a 2015 civic EX. If you choose to get those exterior protection, you can do for a cheaper price outside of the dealer

All 2016 Honda models are available with a wide variety of feathers and accessories. Simply get the trim level Honda (LX, LX-S, EX, EX-L, etc.) with the feathers and accessories you wish.

I would want side skirts if they were offered, but I highly doubt they are still offered. Getting scratches is inevitable. I would personally avoid adding anything on. A lot of these things are dealer options and you're probably going to get ripped off.
