I've changed the oil in my 2011 Honda CRV. How do I reset the dashboard monitor to this fact?

If you don't have a service reset tool, get a local quick-lube shop to do it.

Depends on the features in your car. My car doesn't have a reset button as my vehicle is not frilly but I have a great car and if you look up on your windshield it will show a number written on paper. That is where your mileage would be written on when your next oil change would be due. Top left corner of your windshield, small paper with numbers hand written.

The information is probably in your owner's manual. Try READING it! No owner's manual? Then BUY ONE from Ebay or Amazon.

  • Why do people get mad over the fact that their cars require full synthetic oil? I work as a mechanic and found some people do not like the fact 2010 and up toyotas and Hondas and almost all 2014 cars and European cars require full synthetic oil. A majority of the anger comes towards toyotas and Hondas. Despite me explaining the increased intervals, they still get angered at the fact. Is it just me or does less time doing oil changes that save you more money in the long run end up coming out cheaper despite the increased price and why would they be angry saving money?

  • Tire pressure monitor failed? I have a 2012 Honda Civic lx and the car is fine until I start driving it on the highway. I've had this car for four years and within that time I've replaced the tires twice and now when I'm driving on the highway the pressure light comes on. It's annoying and my tires are perfectly fine. My car has 60 thousand miles is it expensive to replace?
