What's the difference between an I4 snd a V6 engine?

What's the difference between an I4 snd a V6 engine? I'm looking at used Honda and Toyota SUV cars online, specifically Honda CR-V, Toyota RAV4, 4Runner and preferably AWD, or FWD, 4WD, whatever… My last car that died, was a '95 Honda Accord which I believe had a V6 engine but could be wrong. But now when looking at these SUV cars online, a lot say I4 which I have NO CLUE about. Any help would be greatly appreciated! To give you an FYI of my driving, I do admit to driving a little over the speed limit. I do not only highway but city driving too and also hope to do driving in other types of terrain like rocky areas or snow… So details please, what is the difference between the two?

Added (1). I4 AND a V6 engine… Not snd a*

Added (2). What would you recommend given my FYI on my driving, given I'm a little bit of a speeder LOL and the types of areas I'd be driving in?

4 and 6 cylinders. The 6 is usually the more powerful motor. The fastest of those SUV will be a 2006+ RAV4 with the 3.5L V6.

L4 usually is smaller than V6, so it has less power but also less fuel comsumption (usually big difference)

Also, maintenance might be a little more expensive in V6

AWD is the same as 4WD, it means that power is delivered to all 4 wheels, it increases weight but gives you more stability in wet roads, snow, ice and in curves. Also it might give you a little more acceleration if the engine is powerful enough to compensate the increase in weight

Theese terms deal with engine configuration. I4 = Inline 4 cylinder engine. V6 = a engine with a V-shape with 6 cylinders total, 3 cylinders per bank.

The configuration and number of the cylinders. 4 cylinder engines these days are more than capable of doing the job provided it's not a heavy vehicle.
