Scorpion or Akrapovic Exhaust for my Honda CBR 125 R 2011?
I own a Honda CBR125R 2011. I've been riding for about 4 months now because I turned 17 end of last August.
I'm not satisfied by the stock exhaust that came with my Honda so I want a change. Both the Scorpion and Akrapovic exhausts look slick. But, what about the sound and they produce? Also, what about the added horsepower (thinking about my legal limits)?
I don't know enough about motorcycles yet to make my own educated decision about which brand would be better (I'm not even sure if I'm comparing the right two, meaning if there's any other brand I should consider with these two). I just want some advice on what I should look out for and consider.
Generally speaking, Akrapovic is the better brand. My previous bike, A Honda came with it and it sounded FANTASTIC! But then again, it was a 100BHP VFR750 V4 with "EXOTIC" Gear Driven Cams! One of the best sounding motorcycle engine ever created!
Even with an expensive exhaust, your 'cute' little single cylinder bike won't sound as revvy as a multi-cylinder machine, I'm afraid…
My advise, keep her at it is. After passing the test, get a Ducati 696 or Honda Hornet 600 (Ducati is an Italian twin, Honda is a Japanese Four. Both sounds GREAT)…
Don't waste money on your little toy… Its not going to attract any cute blondes EVER…
Up to you, kid.
"But, what about the sound and they produce?"
Exhaust sound is always a personal opinion. What I like, you may not.
"Also, what about the added horsepower (thinking about my legal limits)?"
If you're lucky, you may get an extra 0.5bhp. If you're really lucky, it may be as much as 1bhp extra. In either case, it won't take the bike over the legal limit for a learner (as it only has 13bhp to begin with) and you'll never notice the difference anyway.
I'd take P.o.D.'s advice, to be honest…

- Which is the Best Scooter among Honda Activa 125, Suzuki Swish 125, TVS Jupiter? I'm planning to buy a scooter and I'm sceptical in my choice between Honda Activa 125, Suzuki Swish 125 Facelift, TVS Jupiter, Suzuki Access 125, from the mentioned scooters which could be the best choice with respect to Mileage, performance and maintenance free Vehicle?
- Should I buy a Honda CBR 125? I'm nearly 17 and I'm wondering if I should get one as I want a good bike that is reliable and also sporty
- Should I buy a 08 Honda CBR 125 for 800$? I'm thinking this is a really good price for the bike I'm just worried I'm going to look funny on it because I'm 6'3 180 pounds. Also I feel like people make fun of guys on low cc bikes but I have never ridin a bike before and want to get into it cheap and upgrade to a bigger bike when I'm comfortable with it
- I'm Missing these few parts in my honda cbr 125 and was wondering where i could find them? Honda Cbr 125r 2008: I can remove the main seat without removing the back seat due to a certain screw missing. I'm not sure what screw it is and i need one soon for when i do my MOT. Also, the screw that holds the rubber bit over the battery is gone, not sure what screw type to get (or even if its a screw haha!). sorry for my noobyness.
