Bump, crash, hospital. Cemetery.
You go over the handlebars
That depends on the severity of the pothole. A deep enough one can lay you out on the pavement. If you're paying attention you should be able to avoid it. Things like that are one reason not to ride side by side in a lane with another bike. You might need to room in the lane to maneuver.
IF you DON't BY NOW, you WILL NEVER KNOW
You find out why a trail bike is a much better bike over rough ground.
Depends of the size of the hole… Like obviously, dude.
The bike will go through most of them, but if the pothole is deep enough, or the speed and angle match right, you could end up bending a rim or worse, crashing.
Avoid the potholes and don't find out.
Even if the terrain does not cause a loss of control, the bike may be damaged. Tires, rims, spokes, and more.
A friend of mine was lucky - he hit a big one and it took out his rear tire, sending the spokes through the tire and crushing the rim.
I got lucky (at approx. 80mph) - I blew both rear shocks on my HD.
The guys at the dealership were amazed, never had seen it before (I weigh next to nothing).
- Which bike would be a good first sport bike. Looking at CBR1000/600's and also the yamaha R1/R6? I don't know much about the differences, I know some people are all for Suzuki, Yamaha, Honda, of Kawasaki. Seems that whatever bike someone has, they say its the best. I wish I could just ride all of them and see for myself. Tampa, FL Sam
- What are the dangers of riding a dirt bike shirtless? I was ready to ride my dirtbike all geared up (pants, helmet, boots, etc.) besides a shirt. I have an 80cc honda and a pretty skilled driver. However my father came out and yelled for me to stop and made me put on a long sleeve shirt. Was this right to do? Should he have just let me ride or was he right?
- Is a 2011 Honda CBR250r a good first bike? I'm 16, I'm 5"5 and weigh 140. I can ride yes but just need some help on finding a first bike.
